Ethanol, the type of alcohol in cane alcohol, has been safely used to concentrate plant medicine for several thousand years. It extracts the broadest range of phytochemicals of all commonly used solvents, resulting in the most effective whole plant entourage effect. Other solvents miss the polyphenols which are critical for full spectrum synergy. Avoid products extracted with toxic solvents like isopropyl alcohol, which is not intended for human consumption (cane alcohol is the alcohol in beer and wine, while isopropyl is used to make industrial and household cleaners).
